Here is the promised April 15 update although we are sure you are aware resumption of life as we know it is still very much up in the air.
SNV REP PROGRAM
Volleyball NSW have today announced the cancellation of SVL for 2020.
Whilst we expected it to be a possible outcome of Covid-19 we are devastated for our players and coaches who had already invested time and effort in team selections and were very much looking forward to the season. VNSW had also put their heart and soul into restructuring and planning SVL for 2020 and we have no doubt they are equally heart broken.
SNV will be in touch over the coming days to arrange full refunds of amounts paid for fees and uniforms.
It is difficult to predict what playing opportunities may arise later in the year but fingers crossed there will be some mini-tournaments, State Cups and social competitions so please stay in touch with your team and hopefully you will make it on to a court together at some stage!
SNV SOCIAL COMPS & SOCIAL TRAINING
Our social training and social comps remain suspended. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible once we are able to re-commence them.
VNSW UPDATES
All members should be receiving updates directly from Volleyball NSW although we have heard of a few landing in spam. The updates are also available on the VNSW website – http://www.nswvolleyball.com/contact-us/covid-19-updates
Those of you who would like to support the staff in the VNSW office in getting us all back on court, and can afford to, may wish to register now for the 2020/21 playing year if you haven’t already – http://www.nswvolleyball.com/members/individual-membership
We hope you are finding ways to stay active and practice your skills at home. There is plenty of good material on Facebook for inspiration, if you haven’t seen Kiara the dog playing yet you are missing out!
Our next update will be no later than July 1st but if there are major developments before then we will be in touch sooner.
Don’t forget to stay in touch with your team mates and check in with each other, stay home if you can and wash those hands!
