SNV JUNIOR PROGRAM
SNV has a well established Junior Program for young athletes.
At the beginning of the year, selection trials are held over several sessions and teams are formed for participation in the Sydney Volleyball League Junior Divisions.
The SNV Junior Program has qualified coaches, team managers, structured training, club uniforms and a calendar of great events. All coaches have current Working With Children Checks.

WHAT IS SVL:
The SNV Junior Program is selecting teams to play in the Sydney Volleyball League against other clubs from June to September in the following divisions: Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19. You cannot be turning the age of your division during 2019. ie if you are turning 17 this year you will be playing U19. Games are almost always played at Sydney Olympic Park.
All players are required to be members of Volleyball NSW and Sydney North Volleyball. 2018/2019 memberships are valid until March 31st, 2019 so if you played in 2018 you should not renew yet; when you do the cost is likely to be around the same as last year which was $65. New members will need an extended U19 Platinum Membership which is $80 and valid from now until March 31st, 2020. This will be required as soon as you are selected in a team; it is not required to trial.
The season cost for training and games in 2019 is $325 per player. Shorts are $30 and shirts may be personalised and purchased to keep for $50 or borrowed for the season with a bond. SNV is a registered Active Kids Provider and an opportunity to redeem your voucher will be provided when team offers are emailed.
TRAINING & GAMES:
Training will be held weekly at a time and location to be confirmed but is likely to be a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at Olympic Park from either 5- 6:30pm or 6:30 – 8pm. Games are played on Sundays, usually in the morning, so if you have church or other Sunday commitments you will not be able to participate in SVL. Training is an essential part of the program and your commitment to being there each week is expected. All teams are required to also do duty approximately every second week so the time commitment on a Sunday can be around 3.5 hours.
